Proudly Announcing our New Store! It's called B.B.'s Rabbit Supply!
Sneaky, aren't we? You didn't even know we were gonna do this. Neither did we until now!

We have a wide variety of products dealing with ONLY rabbits, raising and care.  I do not recommend every product for meat rabbit breeder use. Some are angled toward pet owners. Here are my recommendations:
  1. Never use plastic ANYTHING for outside rabbits, especially when you have a large number, unless you're sure it can withstand some serious chewing! Plastic feeders are listed for those with only one or two rabbits they keep as pets.
  2. We don't recommend gravity feeders, because we've had ill luck with the feed getting stuck in the feeder. If you don't realize it, your rabbit will starve. Gravity feeders are good, but only with a couple of rabbits, not many. We use crock and metal feeders, instead. Gravity, metal and crock feeders are listed to be sure we cover everyone's needs.
  3. We don't like the narrow-necked bottles because they freeze easily and also take longer to empty and fill. Wide-necked bottles or a watering system is always best for a large number of rabbits. A watering system is listed along with wide- and narrow-necked bottles
  4. Some of the hutches listed will ONLY work with pet rabbits. Be sure to look carefully before purchase.
  5. Treats are just that-treats! They are listed in a sub-category just for that reason. Seven Pages of sub-category! DO not give more than once a day, and preferably less. That includes Timothy hay and Alfalfa as these are fattening(and it's never any good to fatten up a rabbit-even a meat rabbit. The fat sticks to their hides.) The best hay to give is the (unsprayed) grass from your yard and select greens.
  6. Yogurt is NEVER recommended for rabbits. The milk is toxic to them. They can't digest it. But some people continue to give it to them, so it's here.
  7.  Not everything listed is natural. If that's want's important to you, check to be sure!
  8. I recommend Storey's Guide to Raising Rabbits, with the exception of inbreeding. we do not agree on that. The author says it's okay, I DO NOT! Under no conditions, do I recommend inbreeding any animal. Other than that, it has just about everything you might want to know about raising rabbits. Great beginner book.
  9. There are also three pages of books about rabbits, because we believe that when you get an animal, no matter what the plans for it, you should be well informed!
  10. TOYS are recommended for ALL rabbits! Keep 'em lean and keep 'em entertained! But DO try to avoid too many treats. We mostly give ours veggies and greens as treats. Too much fat is the enemy of rabbits of all types!
  11. You will find supplies dealing with feeding your rabbit listed in a sub-heading under "Feed".
I hope you enjoy our new store. It's packed full of everything you need to make your rabbit healthy, happy and comfortable, be it a meat rabbit, breeder, show rabbit or  a pet. Have a happy and healthy bunny!

Greetings,

This is a question for the webmaster/admin here at rabbitonmyplate.blogspot.com.

Can I use some of the information from your post right above if I provide a backlink back to your website?

Thanks,
Charlie

Hi! I know this is somewhat off topic but I was wondering if you knew where I could locate a captcha plugin for my comment form? I'm using the same blog platform as yours and I'm having problems finding one? Thanks a lot!

I'm afraid not. I actually want to eliminate the Captchas, lol. I find them quite irritating and counterproductive. I've had people avoid leaving comments for that reason. They can't seem to quite read them. I'm beginning to think they were designed for the purpose of discriminating against the elderly.

Of course, I'm joking, but they are much more difficult for the vision impaired to read. The handicapped function doesn't help much in most cases, as the voice is usually garbled.
